Happy Thursday! Have you all seen the September card kit from Simon? I adore this kit! It’s so colorful and happy! Today I have some more card kit inspiration for you. This is a card and video that I created for Simon, so a big thanks to Simon for letting me share it here as well!

The September 2017 Card Kit is packed with colorful elements for your cards. I chose to take inspiration from the Doodlebug patterned papers in the kit and use inks and markers.
The small candle image in the Best Ever stamp set in the kit seems to small to make up a large portion of a card. However, by stamping the candle repeatedly using different colors of ink, you get a bold colorful border. I used the following colors of Simon Says Stamp ink: Doll Pink, Orange Peel, Sunshine, Green Apple, High Dive, and Hydrangea. NOTE: I misspoke in the video. The green ink color is in fact Green Apple.
For the main focal point of the card, I stamped the striped heart in Intense Black ink and colored it with Copic markers. I also matched Copic marker colors to the patterned papers from the kit, even though I wasn’t using them…
