Happy Thursday, all! For today’s card and video I thought it would be fun to use a smaller stamp set from Lawn Fawn. The stamp set I chose is Candy Corn Add-on, which technically is meant to be used with their How You Bean? stamp set (the candy corns go in the jar image). However, I used the candy corn stamp image to create a large mound of candies!
(Wondering what I used in this video? Everything is linked to multiple sources in the thumbnails at the end of this post, or in the text below. Compensated affiliate links used when possible).
Now, truth be told I hate candy corn. GASP! I know, I know. Why am I using it on a card? Because even though I personally don’t enjoy candy corn, I LOVE the look of it! It’s a classic Halloween treat and I can still appreciate it. :)
To create the Candy Corn Mountain on my card, I create a few masks out of masking paper. Then I stamped the image once, placed the mask on top, and then stamped around it. This makes more sense in the video. :)
I colored the candy corn very simply with Copic Markers–nothing too detailed or crazy. I kept it simple–that’s a LOT of candy corn!
To finish off the card, I used Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop die to cut out a background for the card. I inked on some Vintage Photo Distress Ink to emphasize the cut pattern as well.
I hope you enjoyed today’s video! Thanks for stopping by. :)
